Model 3200
The Certex Model 3200 is the most comprehensive check writing solution available today. It combines the features of a stand-alone check writer and a computer interface check protector and signer in one unit. The 3200 has all the functionality of the previous Model 3100, plus it adds additional features. The 3200 maintains the original look and feel of the previous model.

STAND ALONE
Simply connect the Model 3200 to your favorite matrix or laser printer. Set the position of the date, amount, payee, MICR line and signature(s) and begin issuing checks that are professional looking and secure. Optional keyboard allows you to add full
payee information to your checks.

COMPUTER INTERFACE
Connect the unit between your computer and printer. Set the amount and signature positions, then run your check-writing program. Checks are printed, protected and signed in one operation - in a controlled environment.

CONTROL
Control the check writing function of your business by controlling your accounts payable or payroll program. The Model 3200 protects your check - the key to your bank account.

PRODUCTIVITY
Productivity will increase when you use Certex Products to print, protect and sign your checks in one operation. The 3200 has the ability to digitally store forms, so it can be used to create entire documents. Checks, money orders, cashiers checks and certificates, including the MICR line, can be printed on blank safety paper.
Note: Laser printer and special toner are required to print a MICR line.

SECURE SIGNATURES
Secure signatures are controlled by key lock and passwords. Manager assigns operator passwords with dollar limits on amounts and signatures.

FLEXIBILITY
Flexibility is built into the Model 3200. The unit may be programmed on site, with the keypad or optional keyboard to accommodate your particular system requirements. We can generate custom digital forms and email them to you. With an inexpensive device (less than $100) you can store the form in a tiny Memory Module Card (MMC) using your P.C. and USB port. The MMC is then installed in the 3200.

TIME SAVINGS
Unit will print, protect and sign checks in one operation without changing system or program.

Troy MICR Laser Printers
As a companion to our software check writing solutions, Certex is an authorized reseller of Troy MICR* laser printers and OEM consumables.

TROY MICR PRINTERS
Troy MICR printers are designed for secure environments that don't require additional security at the printer. These printers offer full MICR check printing capabilities with MICR fonts resident in the printer, automatic toner density adjustment and a disable jam recovery feature to prevent duplicate check printing in the case of a paper jam.

TROY SECURE MICR PRINTERS
These printers provide a fully secure printing environment; the printers have sensors for MICR toner detection, MICR password security, a 3-position key lock (MICR/MICR off/locked), and locks on the two paper input trays. The system requires the user to deliberately enter a MICR activation mode before doing MICR printing. All of these features are standard in Troy Secure MICR printer models.

Troy MICR printers are based upon the complete family of Hewlett-Packard printers. Troy currently offers printers at 15, 19, 25, 32 and 50 pages per minute. Certex can also offers upgrades for existing Laser Jet owners, and a full selection of MICR toners, security paper and accessories.

*MICR
MICR is an acronym for Magnetic Image Character Recognition. The special MICR toner that is required for laser printing checks contains iron oxide. When a check is scanned, it is run past a magnet to magnetize the specially designed and specifically placed MICR characters, then magnetically read.

TONER
To print MICR characters with a laser printer, you simply need to use a special MICR toner in that printer. Be sure to purchase MICR toner from a source that will consistently provide an acceptable grade and quality, as this is key to having the checks be readable to your financial institution's automated readers. We have MICR toner cartridges available for dozens of the most popular printers on the market.

PAPER
All check paper is incorporated with various safety features to make the document more difficult to duplicate or alter. Laser check printing usually is accomplished by printing on blank check stock. "Blank check stock" refers to the check coloring and safety features, but generally has no other printing on it. The advantages of using blank check stock include the ability to use the same stock for all accounts, reduced cost per check produced and the elimination of the need to verify check numbers before printing. We have a variety of colors available at competitive prices. If you have existing check stock or semi-preprinted stock, Certichex software can accommodate it as well.
